New job
It might be tough to be a good blogger since I started my new job but I hope to keep up with it. I am working in an office which I haven't done in a really long time. I have had retail jobs which I can do in my sleep but not an office job for 20 years. It does pay much better than retail though! I have at least an hour commute so that is an extra challenge. I didn't sleep last night or the night before that is an extra challenge! I don't have to work again for two more days so it will give me time to recover!

A Paying Job
I was offered a paying job yesterday! I have been looking for a part-time job for about a year. A friend said she had something in her department. I went to check things out and it seems great! So I am going to be setting up appointments for conference rooms and making things run smoothly along with other things. The job is at the Renaissance Center so that should be interesting. The drive to get there will be a long one but I will get used to it. I hope! I needed something to get me out into the world and to support my art habit! Being an artist can cost some moolah!

Etsy work
I did a little work on my etsy shop today. I edited some of my photos, changed some tags, got rid of some paintings. I had read that having good photos is crucial. When I started my etsy shop I just took photos and downloaded them to my shop. I was so excited to get my shop set up I didn't edit the photos. Now that I am a bit more savvy I made a few changes and I hope that makes a difference. It is a never ending learning curve!
Card #38 "Row row row your boat"
This is a smaller version of a previous painting I did of an antique canoe. The painting is from a photo I took. We had been at an a marine museum called Les Cheneaux Maritime Museum in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan ( or an Michiganders call is Up North). This museum has lots of handmade wooden boats and the craftsmanship is amazing. If you happen to find yourself in this area (Cedarville) you should check it out.
